The voice of NASCAR on TNT was absent from Sunday’s Lenox Industrial Tools 301.
TNT suspended NASCAR play-by-play voice Bill Weber for Sunday’s race after Weber was involved in a “loud and public confrontation” at his hotel on Friday night. Weber was replaced by Ralph Sheheen.
In a statement, Turner Sports said the situation is a “private issue” and “it’s the policy of the company not to discuss personal matters involving our employees.”
The Daly Planet noted that TNT personalities Kyle Petty, Larry McReynolds and Wally Dallenbach “did not mention a word about their broadcast partner Weber” during the NASCAR pre-race show.
