Tiger Woods continues to have the Midas touch when it comes to television ratings for the PGA Tour.
Woods’ second-place finish at The Barclays drew a 3.7/8 overnight rating on CBS Sunday — up 106% from a 1.8/4 last year, and up 76% from a 2.1/5 in ’07. This marks the highest overnight for the final round of The Barclays since 1998 (4.1/10).
This is the fifth-straight week that a PGA Tour event has had at least a 100% increase in overnight ratings. Woods played in four of those five events.
Third round coverage on Saturday drew a 2.2/5 overnight, up 100% over last year’s 1.1/3, and up 29% from a 1.74 in ’07.
