- Peter Vescey: The New York Post reporter caused a stir on Thursday night with his speech at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Awards Dinner. Vescey, receiving the 2009 Curt Gowdy Media Award, “babbled” for over 30 minutes and “used language one doesn?t use in a Hall speech” — not stopping until “his mic was turned off (either that, or he got the clue).”
- LeBron James: The Cleveland Cavaliers star will appear on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday. James, promoting his new book Shooting Stars, previously appeared on the Comedy Central program in ’06.
- Erin Andrews: The ESPN sideline reporter’s interview with Oprah aired earlier today. In the interview, Andrews says she first found out about the now-infamous hidden camera video of her from a friend, but was skeptical at first. Once she saw the video, she immediately called her parents. “I kept screaming: ‘I’m done. My career is over. I’m done. Get it off. Get it off the Internet’ … They thought I was physically injured, [that’s] how bad I was screaming.”
