CBS continues to draw strong ratings for coverage of the SEC.
Saturday’s Tennessee/Alabama game drew a 3.7 overnight rating on CBS, up 68% from a 2.2 for Mississippi/Alabama last year. This marks the fourth time this season that CBS has had its overnight ratings for college football increase by at least 60%.
So far this season, all but one of CBS’ college football telecasts have drawn at least a 3.0 overnight rating.
Meanwhile, NBC drew a 2.5 overnight for Boston College/Notre Dame on Saturday, down 7% from a 2.7 for NBC’s fifth Notre Dame telecast last year (Pittsburgh/Notre Dame).
The 2.5 overnight is the second-lowest of the season for a Notre Dame telecast on NBC.
