Sunday night was baseball night — but despite the big numbers for Game 6 of the Angels/Yankees series, NBC saw a big boost in the ratings for Sunday Night Football.
Sunday’s Cardinals/Giants game drew a 10.4 overnight rating on NBC, up 44% from a 7.2 for Seahawks/Buccaneers during Week 7 last year. Keep in mind that last year’s game drew the lowest rating ever for a primetime NFL telecast on broadcast.
The 10.4 is a season-low for Sunday Night Football. The previous low was a 10.8 for Colts/Titans during Week 5.
Sunday Night Football was beaten head-to-head by Game 6 of the Angels/Yankees ALCS, which drew an 11.4 overnight on FOX.
