The matchups may not have been stellar, but FOX still drew good ratings for NFL coverage on Sunday.
Sunday’s NFL singleheader, featuring Cardinals/Bears, drew a 10.2 overnight rating on FOX — up 7% from a 9.5 for last year’s Week 9 singleheader on CBS, and up 2% from a 10.0 for last week’s singleheader, also on CBS.
The 10.2 was the lowest overnight of the day for an NFL telecast, behind both games of Sunday’s doubleheader on CBS and Sunday Night Football on NBC.
Meanwhile, the 2-hour edition of FOX NFL Sunday, live from Afghanistan, drew a 3.6 overnight — down a tick from a 3.7 for last year’s comparable episode, and down 12% from a 4.1 for last week’s episode. Both of those episodes were only one hour long.
