The Texas/Nebraska Big 12 Championship Game drew a 7.5/13 final rating and 12.7 million viewers on ABC Saturday night, up 36% in ratings and 45% in viewers from Oklahoma/Missouri last year (5.5/10, 8.8 mil), and up 14% and 17%, respectively, from Oklahoma/Missouri in ’07 (6.6/12, 10.8 mil).
Texas/Nebraska stands as the highest rated Big 12 Championship Game since Oklahoma/Kansas St. in 2000, and the most viewed since at least 2002 (viewership information prior to 2001 was not immediately available).
The 7.5 rating for Saturday’s game is tied as the highest for any regular season college football game on ABC since Notre Dame/USC in ’06 (9.0).
Texas/Nebraska finished as the 8th-most viewed primetime program of the week on broadcast, and ranked #7 for the week in the adults 18-49 demographic.
