Though not nearly as big of a draw as the SEC Championship Game, the Big 12 title game put up strong numbers on ABC Saturday night.
Texas’ win over Nebraska drew a 7.6 overnight rating on ABC Saturday, up 29% from last year’s Oklahoma/Missouri game, and up 4% from a 7.3 for Oklahoma/Missouri in ’07.
The 7.6 overnight is the highest for the Big 12 Championship Game since Oklahoma/Kansas St. in 2000 (8.2).
Additionally, the 7.6 marks the second-highest overnight of the season for a college football game on any network, behind only the 11.8 overnight for the SEC Championship Game on CBS.
