ESPN analyst Craig James has been taken off the network’s Alamo Bowl telecast after allegations that his son was mistreated by Texas Tech coach Mike Leach.
ESPN confirmed to Sports Media Watch that James will no longer call the Michigan St./Texas Tech Alamo Bowl on ESPN. The move comes hours after Texas Tech suspended head coach Mike Leach indefinitely due to a complaint filed by James and his son, Adam.
James was scheduled to work the game alongside play-by-play voice Mike Patrick and sideline reporter Heather Cox.
