Charles Barkley and the NFL boosted Saturday Night Live to its best numbers in 14 months.
Saturday’s episode of SNL, hosted by Barkley, drew 10.4 million viewers on NBC — the most-viewed edition of the show since November 1, 2008. That 2008 episode aired days before the 2008 Presidential Election, and featured an appearance by Republican nominee John McCain.
Saturday Night Live was no doubt aided by an immense lead-in from the Eagles/Cowboys NFC Wild Card game, which drew 32.1 million viewers. Eagles/Cowboys drew television’s largest primetime audience on a Saturday night since 1994.
