Though not quite as big a draw as the Cowboys/Vikings game that preceded it, Sunday’s battle between the Jets and Chargers drew strong numbers on CBS.
The Jets’ win over the Chargers drew a 23.1 overnight rating on CBS Sunday, up 8% from Chargers/Steelers on CBS last year (21.4/36), down 11% from Giants/Cowboys on FOX in ’08 (25.8/43), and up 5% from Patriots/Chargers on CBS in ’07 (22.1/37).
The 23.1 overnight ranks 7th out of the 14 late Sunday Divisional Round games since ’97.
Jets/Chargers drew the second-highest overnight of the weekend, behind only Cowboys/Vikings earlier in the day (23.9).
