America’s team attracted a massive audience on NBC Saturday night.
Saturday’s Eagles/Cowboys NFC Wild Card game drew an 18.0/30 rating and 32.1 million viewers on NBC, up 12% in ratings and 15% in viewership from Colts/Chargers last year (16.1/27, 27.8 mil), and up 20% and 25%, respectively, from Jaguars/Steelers in ’08 (15.0/25, 25.7 mil).
Eagles/Cowboys stands as the highest rated Saturday Wild Card game since Cowboys/Cardinals in ’99 (21.2/40), and the most-viewed Saturday night Wild Card game ever.
Saturday’s game drew an 11.8 rating and 15.6 million viewers among adults 18-49.
NBC averaged 32.3 million viewers in primetime (8-11 PM) Saturday night, the largest primetime audience on any network since Super Bowl XLIII in February ’09. In addition, this marks the largest primetime audience on a Saturday since the 1994 Winter Olympics, and NBC’s largest Saturday night audience since 1988.
