The Cardinals’ 51-45 win over the Packers drew a 19.6/34 rating and 34.4 million viewers on FOX Sunday afternoon, up 11% in ratings and 15% in viewership from Eagles/Vikings on FOX last year (17.6/30, 30.0 mil), and up 17% and 29%, respectively, from Titans/Chargers on CBS in ’08 (16.7/30, 26.6 mil).
The game peaked with a 24.3/37 and 44.1 million viewers.
Packers/Cardinals ranks as the highest rated NFL Wild Card game since Dolphins/Seahawks in ’00 (20.3/38), and the most-viewed since Packers/49ers in ’99 (35.6 mil).
To put the numbers in perspective, Packers/Cardinals drew more viewers than all but three NFL postseason games last year — the AFC and NFC championship games and Super Bowl XLIII.
In the key adults 18-49 demographic, Sunday’s game drew a 12.2/36.
