Former ESPN analyst Steve Phillips is set to make his first television appearance since an embarrassing sex scandal last year.
Phillips, who served as an ESPN MLB analyst from 2005-09, will be interviewed by NBC’s Matt Lauer on The Today Show Monday.
This will be Phillips’ first interview since his firing from ESPN in October of last year. The firing came just days after his affair with ESPN production assistant Brooke Hundley came to light.
According to Phillips’ agent Steve Lefkowitz, Phillips expects to discuss his affair, his 45-day stay in a sexual rehabilitation clinic, and Tiger Woods‘ reported infidelities.
Lefkowitz told the New York Times that Phillips is “apprehensive” about the interview. Lefkowitz: “I told him, ‘If you want to get back into the media, you have to talk to the media.'”
