Versus plans to launch a new nightly talk show later this year.
Sports Business Journal reports that Versus will debut an hour-long “news and entertainment” program later this year. The as-yet-unnamed show will air at 6 PM Monday through Friday, opposite ESPN’s SportsCenter, and will feature “guests, call-in segments and digital applications, like online chats.”
Versus President Jamie Davis likened the planned show to a “good morning show” that gets viewers “ready for the day.” Davis: “[W]e want this show to get viewers ready for the sporting night ahead.”
The show will be Versus’ first daily sports program since the network rebranded in ’07.
