ABC saw a solid increase in overnight ratings for Sunday’s NBA Finals rematch.
The Magic’s 96-94 win over the Lakers drew a 2.8 overnight rating on ABC Sunday afternoon, up 40% from Suns/Spurs last year (2.0), and up 8% from Spurs/Suns in ’08 (2.6).
Compared to Nuggets/Lakers last week, Sunday’s game was up 12%.
This is only the third NBA game on ABC to see an increase in overnight ratings this season, along with Celtics/Magic on Christmas Day (3.8 overnight, up 6%) and Lakers/Celtics on January 31 (4.4, up 33%).
