Opposite the NCAA Tournament, NBC drew minuscule numbers for NHL coverage on Sunday.
Sunday’s Rangers/Bruins game drew just a 0.7 overnight rating on NBC, down 30% from Flyers/Penguins on the comparable date last year (1.0). The game was also down 30% from Capitals/Blackhawks last week (1.0).
The 0.7 overnight rating is the lowest of the season for an NHL telecast on NBC, and the lowest for any NHL telecast on NBC since Red Wings/Blackhawks in April of last year (0.6).
