Oklahoma City’s win over the Lakers drew a 2.7 U.S. rating and 4.2 million viewers on ESPN Saturday night, up 23% in ratings and 26% in viewership from Lakers/Jazz Game 4 in a simliar timeslot last year.
Lakers/Thunder Game 4 stands as the third-highest rated, third-most viewed game of the playoffs on cable — behind Tuesday’s Bulls/Cavaliers Game 5 and Thunder/Lakers Game 5.
Earlier Saturday night, Game 3 of the Hawks/Bucks series drew 1.9 million viewers, up 7% from Hawks/Heat Game 3 on TNT a year earlier (1.8 mil).
On Friday, Game 3 of the Celtics/Heat series drew a 1.6 U.S. rating and 2.4 million viewers on ESPN, up 23% in ratings from Cavaliers/Pistons Game 3 last year (1.3). In the nightcap, Game 3 between the Mavericks and Spurs drew a 1.9 and 2.8 million, up 19% in ratings from last year’s Trail Blazers/Rockets Game 3 (1.6).
Over on ESPN2, Nuggets/Jazz Game 3 drew a 0.9 and 1.5 million viewers. Numbers for Magic/76ers Game 3 last year were unavailable.
