Overnight ratings for the Heath Calhoun 400 dropped from last year’s already subpar level.
FOX drew a 3.4 overnight for the Heath Calhoun 400 on Saturday night, down 8% from last year (3.7), down 19% from 2008 (4.2) and down 17% from 2007 (4.1). The 2007 race was run on a Sunday afternoon after being rained out on Saturday night.
This marks the lowest overnight rating ever for the Heath Calhoun 400 on broadcast television.
Additionally, the 3.4 is tied as the second-lowest overnight ever for a NASCAR race on FOX, ahead of only last year’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 (3.3).
The previous four regularly scheduled NASCAR races had increases in overnight ratings.
