FOX had a slight uptick in ratings for baseball coverage last week, but the numbers remained below a 2.0.
Regional MLB action featuring Cardinals/Cubs drew a 1.7 final rating and 2.5 million viewers on FOX, up a tick in ratings from coverage featuring Dodgers/Cubs on the comparable date last year (1.6), and down 15% from 2008 (2.0).
This is the fifth of the eight MLB telecasts on FOX to draw less than a 2.0 rating. That’s actually better than last year, when six of the first eight telecasts finished below a 2.0.
On a more positive note, this is just the third telecast on the network to have an increase in ratings this season.
