The second primetime MLB telecast on FOX this season did not do nearly as well as the first.
Regional MLB action featuring Yankees/Dodgers drew a 2.7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, up 17% from afternoon coverage featuring Red Sox/Braves last year (2.3), but down 16% from afternoon coverage featuring Yankees/Mets in 2008 (3.2).
Saturday’s telecast was also down 25% from the first primetime MLB telecast on FOX this season (3.6).
That said, the 2.7 overnight is the third-highest of the season for MLB on FOX, behind the aforementioned primetime telecast in May (3.6) and coverage featuring Mets/Cardinals in April, which stretched into primetime (3.0).
