After two straight weeks of season lows, Major League Baseball on FOX bounced back somewhat last Saturday.
Regional MLB action featuring Cardinals/Braves drew a 1.6 final rating and 2.422 million viewers on FOX last Saturday — up 33% in ratings and 29% in viewership from last week (CIN/STL*: 1.2, 1.874 mil) and up 33% and 44%, respectively, from two weeks ago (SD/PHI*: 1.2, 1.683 mil).
The 1.6 rating is also up 33% from last year’s comparable telecast, which also featured the Cardinals facing the Braves (1.2).
Despite the increase, this marks the 16th time in 23 telecasts that FOX has failed to draw at least a 2.0 rating for MLB coverage.
Over the past two seasons, 34 of the 49 regular season MLB telecasts on FOX have failed to draw at least a 2.0.
