With just one game on the docket, ABC had an increase for its college football coverage on Saturday.
Regional action featuring Texas’ upset win over Nebraska drew a 3.6 overnight on ABC Saturday afternoon, up 13% from last year (MIN/PSU*: 3.2), but down 31% from 2008 (ND/UNC*: 5.2).
The comparable telecasts both last year and in 2008 had a lead-in from a Texas/Oklahoma game.
Though not exactly a big draw, Saturday’s telecast topped both Arkansas/Auburn on CBS (2.7) and Western Michigan/Notre Dame on NBC (1.4).
The telecast was not the top college football draw of the day, as ESPN’s Ohio State/Wisconsin matchup earned a 4.8 overnight in primetime.
