Though down from last year, NBC ended its 2010 Notre Dame coverage on a relatively high note Saturday night.
Notre Dame’s primetime victory over Army earned a 2.3 overnight rating on NBC Saturday night, down 8% from the network’s eighth and final telecast last season (CT/ND: 2.5).
The telecast also marks a 53% increase from last year’s primetime game on the network, which took place on October 31 (WSH ST/ND: 1.5).
The 2.3 overnight is tied as the second-highest overnight of the season for Notre Dame football on NBC, matching the September 4 Purdue/Notre Dame season opener.
The only telecast to draw a higher overnight this season was Michigan/Notre Dame on September 11 (4.5).
Prior to Saturday, NBC had gone four straight Notre Dame telecasts without drawing at least a 2.0 overnight rating.
