CBS earned the fourth-largest NFL audience of the season for Patriots/Lions on Thanksgiving Day.
The Patriots’ win over the Lions drew a 13.4 final rating and 27.753 million viewers on CBS Thanksgiving Day, up 21% in ratings and 26% in viewership from last year’s early game (GB/DET: 11.1, 21.990 mil, FOX).
The telecast ranks as the fourth-most viewed NFL telecast of the season on any network, and the second-most viewed on CBS.
Even with the big numbers, Patriots/Lions trailed the Saints/Cowboys game on FOX later in the day (13.9, 31.874 mil).
Through Week 12, twelve NFL telecasts have drawn at least 25 million viewers, matching the total from the previous two seasons combined. Six of those telecasts have topped 27 million.
