After massive numbers on Thanksgiving, the NFL on CBS fell back to earth for Sunday’s Week 12 singleheader.
CBS earned a 9.3 final rating and 15.420 million viewers for Sunday’s singleheader, down 6% in ratings and 2% in viewership from Week 12 last year (IND/HOU: 9.9, 15.690 mil), and down 11% and 7%, respectively, from Week 12 in 2008 (NYJ/TEN: 10.4, 16.634 mil).
The 9.3 rating is tied as the second-lowest of the season for the NFL singleheader window.
This marks only the second time this season that ratings have declined for the NFL singelehader; the Week 10 window on CBS had a 2% drop.
Of the six NFL telecast windows on broadcast during Week 12, the singleheader was the lowest rated and the least-viewed.
