FOX tied a season-high for Sunday’s NFL national window but still trailed last year’s comparable matchup.
NFL action featuring Cowboys/Colts in 76% of TV markets earned an 18.0 overnight on FOX Sunday afternoon, down 5% from Week 13 last year (DAL/NYG*: 18.9, FOX), but up 10% from Week 13 in 2008 (PIT/NE*: 16.3, CBS).
The 18.0 overnight is tied as the highest of the season for an NFL telecast on any network, matching the mark set just one week earlier by the Week 12 national window on FOX (PHI/CHI*: 18.0, FOX).
According to Sports Business Daily, this is the first time in fourteen years that FOX has drawn at least an 18.0 overnight in two straight weeks.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Washington/Giants in 51% of TV markets drew an 11.0 overnight, up 5% from last year (PHI/ATL*: 10.5, FOX), and up 33% from 2008 (IND/CLE*: 8.3, CBS).
