One day before setting a record for Jets/Patriots, CBS earned the largest audience for a Saturday NFL Divisional Round game in fifteen years.
Saturday’s Ravens/Steelers AFC Divisional Round game drew a 19.4 final rating and 34.008 million viewers on CBS, up 21% in ratings and 22% in viewership from last year (ARI/NO: 16.1, 27.910 mil, FOX), and up 26% and 34%, respectively, from 2009 (BAL/TEN: 15.4, 25.453 mil, CBS).
The Steelers’ win ranks as the most-viewed Saturday NFL Divisional Round game, regardless of timeslot, since the 1987-88 season.
Additionally, the 19.4 rating is the highest for a Saturday Divisional Round game since the 1995-96 season (GB/SF: 22.2, FOX).
This marks the tenth time in the past eleven seasons that CBS has drawn a higher rating and more viewers for its Saturday Divisional Round game than rival FOX.
Ravens/Steelers drew the second-largest audience of the weekend, trailing only Jets/Patriots on CBS Sunday afternoon.
