Sunday’s star-studded matchup between the Knicks and Heat put up strong numbers for ESPN.
The Knicks’ win over the Heat earned a 3.3 overnight rating on ESPN Sunday night, the network’s highest NBA overnight of the season. The previous high was a 2.9 for Magic/Heat in October.
For some perspective, the game drew the same overnight as Lakers/Celtics on TNT earlier in the month.
Locally, Knicks/Heat drew a 4.3 rating in New York, the highest ever for a regular season NBA game on ESPN in the market. In Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, the game drew a 6.8, the second-highest for a regular season game on ESPN, behind only Magic/Heat in October (9.3).
Overnight ratings for Sunday’s Lakers/Thunder game on ABC were not immediately available.
