- Saturday’s NBA Games Up on TNT: Saturday’s Bulls/Pacers Game 4 earned a 2.2 U.S. rating and 3.534 million viewers on TNT, up 83% in ratings and 111% in viewership from last year (ORL/CHA G3: 1.2, 1.678M). Later in the day, the Trail Blazers’ comeback Game 4 win over the Mavericks drew a 2.1 and 3.176 million, up 24% and 31%, respectively, from last year (POR/PHX G4: 1.7, 2.429M).
- Playoff Ratings on NBA TV: Through Monday, NBA TV has averaged a 0.31 U.S. rating and 466,000 viewers for coverage of the 2011 NBA Playoffs (four telecasts). Comparable numbers from previous years are not available, as this is the first year NBA TV has been a Nielsen-rated network.
- Thunder Playoff Ratings Up in OKC: Monday’s Thunder/Nuggets Game 4 drew a combined 17.6 rating in Oklahoma City (11.0 on TNT, 6.6 on Fox Sports Oklahoma), the highest rating of the series. Game 3 on Saturday night drew a combined 15.0 (8.0 on ESPN, 7.0 on FS Oklahoma). According to The Oklahoman, the Thunder/Nuggets series is up 2% from last year’s Lakers/Thunder matchup.
