- ESPN’s to Use Mobile Studio For Women’s World Cup: ESPN has constructed a mobile studio for pre-match, halftime and post-match coverage of the 2011 Women’s World Cup, the network announced earlier this week. The studio, a modified version of the “pit studio” ESPN uses for NASCAR coverage, will travel to five different cities — Berlin, Dresden, Heidelberg, Wolfsburg, and Frankfurt. (espnmediazone3.com)
- CBS Sports Network Acquires Patriot League: CBS Sports Network and the Patriot League have agreed to a multi-year deal in which the network will televise various conference sporting events, including basketball and football. The network will air regular season and postseason coverage of men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and lacrosse, as well as a pair of regular season football games. (CBS Sports)
