Orioles television analyst Mike Flanagan passed away on Wednesday at the age of 59.
Flanagan was in his third go-round as an Orioles analyst, having joined MASN last year. He previously called Orioles games from 1996-97 and from 1999-02.
Flanagan played eighteen major league seasons, including fifteen with the Orioles. He won the American League Cy Young Award in 1979 and was part of the Orioles’ championship-winning team in 1983.
After his playing career, he served various roles in the Orioles’ front office, most recently executive vice president of baseball operations.
