- MLB on FOX Up Double-Digits: Regional MLB coverage featuring Cardinals/Cubs in 47% of markets earned a 1.5 final rating and 2.372 million viewers on FOX August 20, up 25% in ratings and 41% in viewership from the network’s 21st telecast last season (PHI/SD*: 1.2, 1.683M), and down 6% and up 4%, respectively, compared to 2009 (NYM/CHC*: 1.6, 2.273M).
- Wyndham Championship Ratings Up: Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Wyndham Championship drew a 1.6 final rating and 2.344 million viewers on CBS August 21, up 14% in ratings compared to last year (1.4), and flat in ratings and up 1% in viewership from 2009 (1.6, 2.313M). Third round action the day before earned a 1.1 and 1.498 million viewers, up 10% in ratings from last year (1.0), and up 38% and 54%, respectively, from 2009 (0.8, 971K). Viewership was not immediately available for last year’s coverage.
- NBC’s Second Summer of Saratoga Race Down From Opener: NBC earned a 0.6 final rating and 891,000 viewers for coverage of horse racing’s Alabama Stakes on August 20, part of NBC Sports Group’s Summer of Saratoga series. The telecast was down by a quarter in both ratings and viewership compared to the previous Summer of Saratoga telecast on NBC, which featured the Coaching Club American Oaks (0.8, 1.183M).
