Ratings continued to drop for the NFL on CBS last week.
The Week 4 NFL national window, featuring Broncos/Packers, earned a 13.6 final rating and 23.014 million viewers on CBS last Sunday — down 1% in ratings and viewership from last year (WSH/PHI*: 13.8, 23.134M, FOX), but up 4% and 5%, respectively, from 2009 (DAL/DEN*: 13.1, 22.026M, FOX).
CBS’ national window was outdrawn by the singleheader window on FOX (DET/DAL*: 14.0, 23.308M). The national window has been the most-viewed NFL telecast of the week only once this season.
Earlier in the day, regional NFL action earned a 7.1 and 11.050 million viewers, down 15% in ratings and 19% in viewership from last year (CAR/NO*: 8.3, 13.679M, FOX), and down 8% and 7%, respectively, from 2009 (NYG/KC*: 7.7, 11.813M, FOX).
So far this season, all six NFL telecasts on CBS have had declines in ratings and viewership compared to last year.
