Former HBO Sports colleagues Bob Costas and Ross Greenburg have both joined NBC Sports Network (currently Versus).
Costas, the longtime face of NBC Sports, will host a monthly talk show on NBC Sports Network starting next spring. Titled Costas Tonight, the show will include “in-depth, revealing interviews” with figures in sports and entertainment.
In addition to the monthly shows, Costas will also host a quarterly series of town halls, also under the Costas Tonight title. The first will air on February 2, in advance of Super Bowl XLVI.
Producing Costas’ new show will be former HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg, new to NBC Sports Group. Greenburg will also produce documentaries for NBC Sports Network, NBC, and The Golf Channel.
In a separate agreement, Greenburg’s production company has partnered with the newly created NHL Original Productions to create content for NBC and other NHL media partners.
