In a rarity, the NFL on CBS was not the network’s highest rated football telecast of the weekend.
The Week 9 NFL singleheader window drew an 11.1 overnight rating on CBS Sunday, up 3% from Week 9 last year (NYG/SEA*: 10.8, FOX), and up 9% from Week 9 in 2009 (ARI/CHI*: 10.2, FOX).
The 11.1 is the second-highest overnight of the season for the NFL singleheader window on CBS (five telecasts).
Sunday’s telecast did not even earn the top football overnight of the weekend on CBS. Saturday’s #1 LSU/#2 Alabama college football game drew an 11.9 overnight on the network.
