NBC NHL analyst Mike Milbury, facing charges of assault and battery on a twelve-year old, has been pulled from the air while he deals with his legal issues.
In a statement released Friday, NBC Sports Group said that Milbury will “remain off the air while focusing on his affairs” (NBC, 12/16). Though NBC does not resume NHL coverage until the January 2 Winter Classic, Milbury is a regular on Versus’ NHL studio coverage.
Milbury has been charged with one count each of assault and battery on a child, threats to commit a crime, and disorderly conduct in an incident involving a twelve-year old. Milbury denies that any assault took place.
