The expanded 13-game NFL slate on NFL Network will open with one of the league’s most storied rivalries.
NFL Network will begin coverage of the 2012-13 NFL regular season in Week 2, with the Bears taking on the Packers. The game will be the first of thirteen on the network this season, up from eight in previous years.
The NFL Network schedule is conspicuous for the teams who will not make appearances — the Super Bowl runner-up Patriots, the Cowboys, and the Jets.
The defending champion Giants are on the NFL Network schedule, taking on the Panthers in Week 3. Some other notables include Peyton Manning and the Broncos making an appearance against the Raiders on December 6, and Manning’s former team the Colts taking on the Jaguars on November 8.
