Despite their postseason run, the Los Angeles Kings still cannot attract a strong audience nationally.
Game 4 of the Coyotes/Kings NHL Western Conference final drew a 1.1 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon, according to USA Today — down 15% from Canucks/Sharks Game 4 last year (1.3), and down 45% from Sharks/Blackhawks Game 4 in 2010 (2.0).
The game drew a 2.7 rating in the Los Angeles market.
Sunday’s 1.1 overnight is the second-lowest of the postseason for the NHL on NBC, ahead of only Blues/Kings Game 4 in the second round (1.0).
Overnight ratings for Saturday’s Rangers/Devils Game 3 on NBC were not immediately available. The game drew a 4.2 in New York.
