For the first time during the 2012 London Olympics, overnight ratings declined for primetime coverage on NBC.
Tape delayed primetime coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics drew a 20.1 overnight rating on NBC Monday night, down 5% from Beijing in 2008 (21.2), but up 3% from Athens in 2004 (19.6).
The 20.1 overnight marks a 7% decline from Sunday’s primetime coverage (21.7).
Salt Lake City (27.6) led all markets for Monday’s coverage, followed by Denver (25.9), Kansas City (25.6), Milwaukee (24.8), and both Columbus, OH and Albuquerque, NM (tied at 23.9).
