NBC continues to rack up big increases for Notre Dame coverage this season.
Saturday’s BYU/Notre Dame college football game earned a 2.7 overnight rating on NBC, up 125% from the fifth Notre Dame telecast on the network last year, against Navy (1.2), and up 93% from the fifth such telecast in 2010, against Western Michigan (1.4).
While much of Saturday’s increase can be attributed to a higher-quality opponent, overnights for the past four Notre Dame telecasts on NBC have increased by at least 48%.
BYU/Notre Dame was beaten head-to-head by Florida/South Carolina on CBS (3.3), but topped regional coverage on ABC (2.4) and Stanford/California on FOX (0.7).
