Wrapping up the numbers from Week 5 of the NFL season, the Broncos/Patriots national window scored good numbers for CBS.
The Week 5 NFL national window, featuring Broncos/Patriots, drew a 14.5 final rating and 24.5 million viewers on CBS October 7, up 7% in ratings and 8% in viewership from coverage featuring Jets/Patriots last year (13.6, 22.598M), and up 14% and 18%, respectively, from coverage featuring Titans/Cowboys in 2010 (12.7, 20.787M).
The telecast ranks as the third-most viewed of the NFL season on any network (does not include Sunday’s Week 6 games). The Broncos have been featured in three of the four most-viewed telecasts this season.
In the first game of the Week 5 doubleheader, regional action scored a 7.6 final rating — up 7% from last year (7.1), and up 17% from 2010 (6.7).
Final ratings were not available for the Week 5 NFL singleheader window on FOX, which featured Eagles/Steelers in most markets.
