Despite getting saddled with another blowout at the Meadowlands Sunday night, NBC had a modest improvement in overnight ratings for “Sunday Night Football.”
The Week 12 edition of “Sunday Night Football,” a 28-point rout of the Packers by the Giants, drew a 13.5 overnight rating on NBC — up 8% from Steelers/Chiefs last year (12.5), and up 13% from Chargers/Colts in 2010 (13.0).
Sunday’s 13.5 overnight ranks eighth among the fourteen NFL telecasts on NBC this season.
With that said, Packers/Giants finished well ahead of NBC’s other Week 12 game — the Jets’ blowout loss to the Patriots on Thanksgiving night (11.5).
