Though not facing each other, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning helped CBS to a double-digit increase for Sunday’s NFL national window.
The Week 11 NFL national window, featuring Colts/Patriots, earned a 14.5 final rating and 23.6 million viewers on CBS — up 12% in ratings and 10% in viewership from coverage featuring Chargers/Bears last year (13.0, 21.5M), and up 2% and flat, respectively, from coverage featuring Colts/Patriots in 2010 (14.2, 23.6).
While just over half of the country received Colts/Patriots, remaining markets got the Chargers/Broncos game.
Sunday’s telecast earned the ninth-largest audience of the season for the NFL on any network.
For the eighth time in eleven weeks this season, the NFL national window drew a higher rating and more viewers than “Sunday Night Football” on NBC.
