Royals Finally Break Ratings Record
- Game 1 of Sunday’s Indians/Royals Major League Baseball doubleheader earned a 7.9 rating on Fox Sports Kansas City, the network’s highest rating ever for a Royals regular season game (12 seasons). The previous record was a 7.5 for Mariners/Royals in May 2009. Saturday’s game between the teams drew a 7.3 rating, the network’s fourth-highest rating. Overall, nine of the ten highest-rated Royals games on FS Kansas City have taken place this season alone. (Fox Sports)
FOX Gets First MLB Increase of Season
- Regional Major League Baseball action featuring Braves/Tigers in 70% of markets drew a 1.7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, up 31% from coverage featuring Brewers/Cardinals last year (1.3), and down 15% from coverage featuring Braves/Giants in 2011 (2.0). Zurich Classic Overnights Drop
- Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Zurich Classic of New Orleans earned a 1.7 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 23% from both last year and 2011 (2.2).
