WNBA All-Star Overnights Flat; Hartford Leads All Markets
- Sunday’s WNBA All-Star Game earned a 0.6 overnight rating on ABC, even with the last game in 2011 (0.6) and up a tick from 2009 (0.5). Locally, host market Hartford-New Haven averaged a 2.2 rating for the game. Minneapolis-St. Paul (1.9) and Atlanta (1.4) ranked second and third, respectively. (ESPN)
FOX Earns Lowest MLB Overnight Since May
- Regional Major League Baseball action featuring Cardinals/Braves in 57% of markets earned a 1.6 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, down 16% from coverage featuring Dodgers/Giants last year (1.9), and down 27% from coverage featuring Braves/Reds in 2011 (2.2). Without Olympic Competition, PGA Canadian Open Up Big
- Final round coverage of the PGA Tour RBC Canadian Open earned a 1.8 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, up 125% from last year — when coverage aired opposite the Olympics (0.8), but down a tick from 2011 (1.9).
