ESPN host Keith Olbermann will make his first on-air appearance since his return to the network on the 11 PM ET “SportsCenter” Thursday night. Olbermann, who will begin hosting a new talk show on ESPN2 later this month, will “provide an essay” discussing the Alex Rodriguez steroid scandal.
Olbermann’s appearance will be pre-taped and take place from ESPN/ABC’s Times Square (NY) studio.
Olbermann has not appeared on “SportsCenter” since his departure from ESPN in 1997. When ESPN brought back several former anchors for an anniversary week in 2004 — including Charley Steiner and Greg Gumbel — Olbermann was noticably absent.
