NBC Sports Network will air the most hours of any NBC network during next year’s Olympics. In other news, ESPN will simulcast the BCS title game on four different networks, and the Atlantic-10 Conference plans to stream several games online.
NBCSN to Air 230+ Hours of Olympic Coverage
- NBC Sports Network is scheduled to televise at least 230 hours of Winter Olympics coverage in February, highlighted by live figure skating and men’s and women’s hockey. The NBC broadcast network is scheduled to air 185 hours, including live coverage of the hockey gold medal games. MSNBC (45), the USA Network (43) and CNBC (36) will combine for 124 hours. ESPN to Simulcast BCS Title Game on Four Nets
- ESPN plans to simulcast the Florida State/Auburn BCS National Championship Game on ESPN2, ESPNEWS and ESPN Classic, the network announced Thursday. ESPN will air the traditional game broadcast, while the other three networks will televise versions with special audio. In particular, the ESPN Classic telecast will go without announcers, using only the natural sound from the game. (ESPN Media Zone)
A-10 to Stream Games on CampusInsiders
- The Atlantic-10 Conference has agreed to stream 27 live men’s basketball games on the CampusInsiders.com website, it was announced Wednesday. The games will also air on the SNY regional sports network. (A-10).
