NBC has hired Marty Snider for its upcoming NASCAR coverage. In other news, former ESPN host Michelle Beadle is reportedly returning to the network, and CBS golf analyst Peter Kostis is back on-air after a battle with cancer.
Marty Snider to Work NASCAR For NBC
- NBC Sports announced Wednesday the hiring of motorsports reporter Marty Snider for NASCAR coverage on NBC and NBCSN. Snider currently serves as a NASCAR, NBA and college basketball reporter for Turner Sports and the lead pit reporter for NBC’s IndyCar coverage. Also hired Wednesday was fellow motorsports reporter Kelli Stavast, who like Snider will contribute to both IndyCar and NASCAR for the NBC family of networks. (NBC Sports Group Press Box)
Beadle to Rejoin ESPN
- NBC Sports host Michelle Beadle will return to ESPN, Sports Illustrated reported Tuesday. Beadle, who joined NBC with much fanfare in 2012, has appeared sparingly on NBC Universal programming since her NBCSN talk show “The Crossover” was canceled last year. According to the report, she will be able to officially leave NBC in early March. (SI.com)
Kostis Back on CBS This Weekend
- CBS Sports golf analyst Peter Kostis will make his return to the air at this weekend’s PGA Tour Farmers Insurance Open, his first assignment for the network since he was diagnosed with colon cancer midway through last year. Kostis says he is now cancer free. (golfdigest.com)
