In other news, figure skating broadcasters Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will get primetime exposure Saturday night, and ESPN has named TrueHoop founder Henry Abbott its lead editor for NBA coverage on ESPN.com.
Sunday Night is Closing Ceremony Night
- NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” team of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will reunite for NBC’s coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony, working alongside contributor Vladimir Pozner in a three-man booth. Michaels previously hosted the Closing Ceremony in 2012 and 2010, both times working alongside Bob Costas. The “Tara and Johnny” Show Moves into Primetime
- The popular figure skating broadcast team of Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, along with underrated play-by-play voice Terry Gannon, will venture into primetime for NBC’s coverage of the Olympic figure skating gala Saturday night.
